• God okay that one scene in Part 1 of Sozin’s Comet where they’re making Aang practice fighting the Firelord with an effigy using a watermelon for his head (which also features probably one of the best Toph moments in the entire series and I think I’m going to get a shirt that says I AM MELONLORD on it)
• I never really thought about just how fucking dark that scene is
• Like, when Sokka chastizes Aang for being too much of a pacifist and then slices the effigy’s head in half and says “that’s how it’s done” and then Momo flies down and starts eating the god damn melon
• I actually got physically uncomfortable and shuddered
• This show is great

every time I see a +1 in the korra tags and I click it hoping to see some wonderful person saying “hey Nick just announced the premiere date, it’s _____!”

and instead it’s somebody saying “omg I just found out they’re making a new avatar show!! but can’t beat teh original lul i guess i’[ll watch it even tho zutara didnt happen wait why is korra so muscular?? ugh this is weird i don’t like how modern everything is there’s too much tech stuff”
