• God okay that one scene in Part 1 of Sozin’s Comet where they’re making Aang practice fighting the Firelord with an effigy using a watermelon for his head (which also features probably one of the best Toph moments in the entire series and I think I’m going to get a shirt that says I AM MELONLORD on it)
• I never really thought about just how fucking dark that scene is
• Like, when Sokka chastizes Aang for being too much of a pacifist and then slices the effigy’s head in half and says “that’s how it’s done” and then Momo flies down and starts eating the god damn melon
• I actually got physically uncomfortable and shuddered
• This show is great
